Recognition for TIES’ achievements and importance to families has come from many sources, and the program has won numerous accolades and awards. In 1999 DCFS and UCLA TIES received a National Association of Counties Achievement Award in recognition of an innovative program that contributes to and enhances county government in the United States. In 2001, UCLA TIES was awarded the National Adoption Excellence Award in the category of ‘Support for Adoptive Families.’ In 2003, the project received the Comprehensive Community Care Award by the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health in recognition of the outstanding team approach that integrates the client with family members, partner agencies, community services and resources. In 2006, TIES was awarded the Ann C. Rosenfield Distinguished Partnership Prize from the UCLA Center for Community Partnerships. For five years TIES has received an award from the Disneyland Resort Cast Community Fund for the program’s efforts to utilize innovative approaches to addressing the challenges in the communities.

Major funding sources for TIES for Families comes from the Los Angeles County Departments of Children and Family Services and Mental Health and private foundations.
